Veterans receive care for substance use disorders as well as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and military trauma within a mixed treatment population at Bluff. Although ours is not solely a veteran program, our highly qualified staff have extensive experience working with veterans. Additionally, attending groups and assimilating with the general treatment population helps veterans to develop skills for successfully navigating civilian life post-deployment. Although veterans have unique needs and experiences, veteran PTSD symptoms are similar to those seen in individuals with non-military PTSD.

Bluff is a Veteran-Ready Organization, recognized by PsychArmor
Bluff has partnered with PsychArmor, the leader in military culture training, to achieve Veteran Ready Certification. By taking this step to offer enhanced training for employees, Bluff has demonstrated its commitment to offering a more genuine connection and better support for those in military and Veteran communities. Recognizing that the experiences of military personnel are much different from those of nonmilitary personnel, programs with Veteran Ready Certification structure their content to address the unique needs and strengths of servicemembers, Veterans and their families, while also ensuring the provision of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Bluff is a proud partner in the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA-CCN)
The VA-CCN is a network of facilities that accept veteran benefits, giving veterans more convenient access to mental health and substance use treatment. The Community Care Network (CCN) uses industry-standard practices and guidelines to administer treatment and promptly pay for services.
In order to secure funding for your treatment through the VA-CCN, both an authorization from the VA and a doctor’s referral are required. These are usually obtained by visiting your home county VA office to meet with a primary care doctor. If you are seeking substance use treatment services, you can ask your doctor about using the Community Care Network to attend Bluff for detox, residential or outpatient treatment.
